I train at another academy. Can I do the free trial week?
If you live in the Aveiro area and want to move to Loft, yes: the free trial week is for you. If you’re staying at your academy and just want to drop in now and then, use a drop-in pass.
I’m visiting Aveiro. Can I train?
Yes. We have drop-in passes: single class, one week or one month, all with sports insurance included. Message us before you come with the pass, day and class you’d like.
When does the pass start? Can I freeze it?
Validity starts on the day of payment: 1 calendar day for a single class, 7 for a week and 30 for a month. Passes cannot be frozen.
Which classes can I join?
All classes are open to visitors: BJJ, No-Gi, Wrestling and Open Mat, mornings and evenings, women-only classes (Women’s BJJ and No-Gi) and the Kids and Teens classes.
Do I need to bring a gi?
If you’re coming for a trial, no: we lend you a gi for your first classes — just bring comfortable clothes. If you already train at another academy, bring your own gi.
Can parents watch classes?
Always. Our lounge has sofas with a view of the whole mat.
Do I need insurance or a medical check?
Drop-in passes already include sports insurance. To enrol as a student, insurance is included in the registration (or can be arranged directly with the IBJJF) and a sports medical exam or certificate is required.
